Project 10, May..."self"

011.jpg

Okay, here it goes friends, a fun little project to (hopefully) get our creative juices flowing..Project 10!

What is it all about you say? A series of 10 images, posted on our blogs, the 10th of each month, based on a topic chosen for the month.

There are a handful of talented ladies involved in this project, so be sure to follow the circle of blogs included to see what

all the fun is about (the next photographer in the circle will be tagged at the end of my post..pretty cool huh??)

Well, let's get to it! Topic of the month: SELF. {Insert total brain fart of what to do for this one}

I felt like I was back in school for this, as far as being a TOTAL procrastinator on shooting my images. I had a couple of ideas in mind, but it involved a Polaroid camera and the lack of two things:

owning a Polaroid camera, and running out of time time find one (hey, hey there's my procrastination radiating out again).

So, I just kept pondering over it the past few days..

Then the distractions kicked in and I found myself on Pinterest. I somehow came across an awkward senior portrait of a guy holding a cat and noticed it was even MORE awkward because he had a (barely noticeable) mullet.

AWESOME.

 what is more awkward then a guy holding a dog with a mullet?

{I am also a huge fan of the sweet neon lasers in the background}

These kind of images just hit my funny bone in all the right places...not really sure why, but I tend to laugh out loud sitting by myself at the computer at gems like these.

BAM...there was my inspiration...my many different 'do's over the years. All of the hairstyles that made me who I am today. Many of them, I probably would not repeat in adulthood. :)

Introducing: THE BOWL CUT (they aren't just for boys, ya know)

and thee: ELECTRIFIED MOP

Can you comb through my mullet, sis?

Quick, cover up that thick mushroom shaped hair cut with a hat, there, now no one will see how awkward it is.

Oh, ya know, just a member of the Munster family, NBD.

Flop them curls directly on top of my head, and why don't we throw in a pretty face to go with it?

I think Helen Keller may have cut my bangs here. (I'm sorry that was terrible, but so were my bangs)

I had to leave this beaut in color just so you could experience the full on awesomeness of my Mastercuts bleach blonde dye job from back in high school. I believe this was AFTER they fixed it, oh dear.

I think it was nearly as white as a piece of copy paper.

One cut from my past that I actually loved! Not nearly as much as the gal in the photo with me though..fun times!

Thanks SO much for joining in this month's rendition of Project 10. Now, head on over to the wonderfully talented Kristi Lee's blog to see her portrayal of self! Happy Friday all! :)
