Styled shoot // Vendor Spotlight: Bittersweet Floral

IMG_2275.jpg

Earlier this summer, I collaborated with some lovely vendors and put together a bridal styled shoot. I wanted to put together a collection of images & vendors that I could recommend for my upcoming brides as they begin their wedding planning. There are so many details that go into planning the perfect wedding, so I thought it would be fun to give them some inspiration and ideas to start the planning process! All of the vendors were so sweet and amazing to work with, and each of them I would highly recommend!

Looking for an amazing florist for your big day? Then you'll definitely want to check out the über talented girls of Bittersweet Floral! After discussing details of the concept of this shoot, Shanon came up with the perfect bouquet. I loved the lace detail of the wrapping around the stems, and probably my favorite part was the air plant she incorporated into it, so very unique! I had a little Q&A with Shanon and asked some questions to gain a little more insight into what BF is all about, and why they would be a great choice for all of your floral needs...

Q:  How long have you been in the floral industry and how did you get started?

A:  I worked at a few florists in high school and right out of high school and fell in love with it! But my best friend and I started Bittersweet just about 4 years ago. Love being able to make things beautiful with flowers!

Q:  What is your favorite part about creating bouquets?

A:  I enjoy meeting a bride and hearing about what she likes and just getting a feel for what she is dreaming her wedding to be. Love trying to make each bouquet a personal expression of each bride.

Q:  What can you offer to brides that sets you apart from other florists in the area?

A:  We can bring a unique and creative touch to each wedding. We like to say we are floral artist. It's our passion to make every wedding one of a kind and beautiful each time.

Q:  What new item/thing are you excited about currently for creating one of a kind bouquets?

A:  We are always researching new flowers and hope to always come up with something new for each bride.

Q:  What advice would you give to brides to keep their bouquets looking fresh on their wedding day?

A:  We always create the brides bouquet last and pick the most perfect flowers we have. So we just ask our brides to just keep it in water until it's time for pictures. But it will stay fresh for the day.

Q:  What's a fun/quirky fact that others may not know about you?

A:  A fun fact would be that we do our flower shop out of our homes so it's like a garden exploded in our house for days before every wedding. ;)

Thanks for working with me girls, and I hope our paths cross in the future! :)
